Chapter 11 – Down (Gerard’s POV)

I wake up. I look around and realise I’m on my bed cuddling Jacquie and she hugging me back but she is asleep. I start remembering what happened last night. . Dad… jail…10 Hmm what does she mean exactly by that. Oh my god its obvious Gerard Arthur Way Her Dad is going to jail for 10 years. What the hell is wrong with you it was staring you right in the face. Oh well I gotta help her.

Jacquie starts to wake. She looks up to me her lips only a couple of centimetres away from mine. I wasn’t sure what to do.
To kiss her or n… She kisses me. She pulls away and smiles and hugs me. Man this is so awkward. I hugged her back.
“Thanks” she whispers in my ear.
“Umm youre welcome” I say still kinda confused. She pulls away and gets up.
“I’m sorry about your dad,” I say. She looks at me her eyes look a little watery. Oh no don’t cry. I get up and go to her.
“I’m sorry,” I say. She hugs me again and I hug back. I loved her hugs.
“It’s gonna be okay” I say. Then the door opens. Mikey walks in. He looks at me.
“Umm” Mikey says walks back out and closes the door.
Jacquie didn’t even seem to care that he had just seen us. Then I heard her start crying. Oh no that’s what I hate, her crying it sounds so hurt and crushed. What am I suppose to do? Hug her tighter? May as well try. I hug tighter. She looks up at me with her now red eyes. Did I do something wrong? She just wanted to be helped not hugged? Why the hell am I asking myself quest…. She kisses me again. This time it was longer. She came out slowly. What the hell she keeps kissing me.

I wake again. Damn a dream. But still I was on the bed with her. And I was hugging her and she was hugging me and yes she was asleep. Well I already had this happen to me once in my dream should I do it exact or just play along? Play along, you never know. She starts to awake. She looks up at me yet again only a few centimetres way.
“Hey” she says with a smile.
“Hey” I say.
“Thanks for letting me stay here,” she says.
She gave me a quick peck and got up.
“What was that for?” I asked.
“For letting me stay,” she said with a smile.
I laughed. Even though it wasn’t like my dream I still didn’t mind it.
“What’s the time?” I ask.
“Umm 10.30 am,” she says looking at the clock in the room “You know you could have looked for yourself”. She laughed.

She ran over too me and grabbed me by the wrist. She pulled me out the door and then out the house.
“What the hell” I say.
She pulls me to Matts.
“Did something happen that I don’t know about?” I ask.
“No well yes I have a great idea” she says.
She knocks on the door. Matt opens the door.
“Hey” he says. Jacquie walks in pulling me in.
“Umm hi” I say. She pulls me to Matt’s room.
“Matt come here” she yells to him. Matt runs in.
“Clear a space so I can draw your mural” she says
“Please”. He laughs and walks over to a wall and takes off the stuff on it “Go ahead”.
Jacquie takes a pencil off the table and starts drawing.
Matt and me watch.


10 minutes later…
“OMG” Matt says in amazement “That’s awesome”.
“How did you know that’s Matts fave Comic?” I ask.
“Who doesn’t like X-men?” she replies with a smile “well I’ve done my share Gerard your painting it”.
“I guess that’s fair,” I say.
She laughs and walks out the room Matt follows her.
I’m still looking at it in amazement. Everything was correctly drawn.
“Stop it” I hear Jacquie say. He better not be doing what I think he is doing. I run out and see Jacquie and Matt talking.
“I’m not that great of a drawer stop complementing me,” she says.
Phew I think to myself.
“Hey Gerard don’t you reckon Jacquie is a great drawer like you?” Matt asks me.
“Hell Yeah maybe better” I say.
“No I’m not stop it,” she says blushing.
There’s a knock at the door. Matt answers it.
“Hey Rayzor” he says.
“Stop calling me that” Ray says; “It makes me sound … emo,” he laughs.
“OMG ray you have to see what Jacquie drew in my room” he said walking to his room with ray following him.
“Oh no don’t” I hear Jacquie whisper.

She sits on the couch. I sit next to her and she smiles at me.
“OMG that’s awesome” I hear Ray say.
“Don’t say that Jacquie doesn’t like being complemented” I hear Matt say.
“Its true” Jacquie yells out. I laugh. She smiles again. There’s a knock at the door.
“ Hey Matt someone’s at the door” Jacquie yells to Matt.
Matt runs to the door and opens it “Hello”.
“Hi is Jacquie there?” someone says.
“Yeah” Matt says as Jacquie gets up and goes to the door.
“Hey Jimmy,” she says as she gets to the door “What’s up?”.
“Umm I need tell you privately,” he says.
Jacquie’s smile drops.
Jacquie walks out with the guy.
