Chapter 8 - School what joy (Jacquie's POV) (by the way in story it is Friday)

"Hey Neicey wake up" I hear someone say I guess its Kerrie cause she is the only one who calls me that.
"Hey" I murmured.
"Get ready for school okay. Wanna have breaky today?" she asked me.
"No thanks". She walks out the room. I start to get ready for school.

1 hour later...
I had finished ages ago and I had just put my drawing pad in my bag. I say goodbye to everyone except mum who was still asleep. I walk outside and sit on the swing wait for Gerard and Matt. I see them walking down and I immediately get up and go greet them.

"Hey guys,” I said to them.
"Hey Jacquie" Matt said friendly.
"Hi" Gerard said quickly.
"How are you?" I asked.
"Meh alright" Matt said.
"Fine what about you?" Gerard said.
"I'm pretty good" I replied.

We started walking to school.
"I've got English first in E13 what have you guys got?" I asked.
"I've got English E17 I think" Matt said.
"I got English in E13 as well,” Gerard said with a smile.
"Oh yeah you and Gerard have English in the same room it sucks they wont let me in that class" Matt said with a frown which turned to a smile a couple of seconds later.
"Hey Jacquie ever skipped class before?" Gerard asked me.
"Yeah I used to do it all the time" I replied.
"Wanna skip English?" he asked.
"Yeah okay" I replied.
"Rebels" Matt said laughing. We both laughed as well.
"I'll show you a couple of things I do when I skip class,” Gerard said.
"Yeah Masturbate" Matt said laughing his head off.
Gerard went red " I DO NOT YOU ASSHOLE" Gerard yelled at Matt and then tried to tackle him but Matt being slightly stronger than Gerard just caught him and dropped him on the grass. I gave Gerard a hand up. Then I jokingly slapped Matt on the shoulder and called him a naughty boy.

We were very close to school now. So we walked a little slower. When we did arrive we went straight to our spot. I sat on the chair while the guys sat on the table. A guy came over to our table.
"So Gerard is this a new victim?" he aloud so everyone could hear. There were a couple of people who laughed. This guy was obviously a jock.
"Oh shut up Ryan" Gerard replied.
"Are you gonna stalk her till she gets a restraining order or till she moves away because of you?" Ryan said. "Hey you know she had to go to her Nan’s in England cause her mum died I did not do anything we were only friends,” Gerard said.
"Oh I see you killed her mum hoping she would have to live with you" Ryan said trying to get Gerard angry and apparently it was working.
"Her mum died of cancer" Gerard said with clenched fists and then started to walk off.
"OH now I see you liked her mum" Ryan said. Gerard stopped in his tracks.
"No you idiot I just felt very sad that her mum died from cancer because my great aunt died from it and I was devastated" he said trying to be calm.
Then he continued walking again but this time towards us.
"Gerard don't do this man,” Matt said. Gerard kept walking. But he didn't walk towards Ryan but out near the school gates. I ran up too him.
"Gerard where are you going?" I asked him.
"Anywhere but here" Gerard replied.
"Well I’m coming with you" I told him. He stopped and so did I.
"No you stay here" he said looking into my eyes.
"I'm coming Gerard and you can't stop me,” I told him.
"Fine but still I would perfer if you stayed,” he said.
Matt came running up to us.
"Okay... what are... you guys... doing?" Matt asked out of breath.
"We are leaving wanna come with?" Gerard said.
"Hell no" He said after just regaining his breath "I don’t wanna get another suspension mum said one more and I don’t get anymore video games or comics for the rest of the year".
"Okay see ya then" Gerard said.
"Bye Matt" I said.
" Bye, I Guess I’m staying in the library again oh well".
Gerard and me quickly ran off.

We started walking home.
"Umm Gerard I don't think my mum's really gonna appreciate me having the day off" I said "I can't just turn up at home".
"Okay my place it is,” he said with a smile.
"Umm okay'' I said still sure if it was a great idea skipping school.

We reached Gerard’s place. Gerard knocked on the door. I heard footsteps and then the door opened and there was a lady. The lady looked at Gerard sadly.
"What happened Gerard and who's your friend?" she said upset.
"Dickheads at school again mum, Oh yeah and this is Jacquie the girl I told you about yesterday,” he said.
"Oh honey you have to stand up to them and also I don't think Jacquie's parents would really be happy that she’s not at school either maybe I should tell them" she said.
"No mum its okay plus you don’t know her mum" he said.
"Well okay umm Hi Jacquie" she said.
"Hi" I replied.
Gerard pulled me by my wrist into the house. His mum closed the door behind us. The house was neatly set up.

"Come on follow me I'll show you my room" Gerard said. I followed him. He opened the door. He let me in first and walked in after me and closed the door. I was expecting a very messy room but no it was very clean. "Well this is my room it’s not the best but it’s a place I sleep in,” he said.
"Its awesome" I replied.
"Here's my drawings,” he said passing me a book full of drawings and sketches. I started looking at them they were really good. There were landscapes, Portraits but mostly comics.
"These are great,” I said to him.
" Meh they are alright" he said, "
Wanna watch some movies?”
"Sure" I replied.
"I've only have horror movies that okay?" he said.
"Yeah okay" I said. Gerard went to his TV and opened a cupboard and started looking though lots of videos.
"Have you seen Blood Crazed?" he asked me.
"Umm no" I replied.
"Ok well that’s the one that I was watching with my brother last night so its still in the TV" he said pushing a button and the video started to rewind.
"You have a brother?" I asked him.
"Yeah he’s 11 and his name is Mikey" he replied.
"Cool" I said with a smile "Can I meet him?”
"Yeah but he is at school maybe when he comes home" Gerard said sitting on his bed.
"Okay" I said and sat next to him.
The tape had stoped rewinding and Gerard had pressed play on the remote.

After about 3 movies... (Home time for school)
"Hey Jacquie... Jacquie…Umm Jacquie you’re lying on me" I heard someone say.
"What?" I said getting up off of someone.
I rubbed my eyes.
"OH sorry Gerard. When did I fall asleep?" I said to him.
"About half way though the third movie and don't worry its okay?" he replied with a smile
" So do you wanna go meet Matt?”
"Yeah okay" I replied.

We walked out of the door and went outside. We made our way slowly up to the school and ran into Matt. He had a cut on his cheek and looked as if he had been rolling in the dirt.
"Man are you okay?" Gerard asked confused.
"When you guys left they bashed me before I could get to the library" Matt said about to fall over " I had to stay in the office all day and the office ladies tried to get hold of my mum and no one replied so I was worried and also when I was leaving those jocks came up to me and said..."
" To tell you that they are going to bash you when they see you" Ryan said walking up to us " and it looks like I see you".
A couple of kids were following him as well.
"I'm sorry" Matt said falling over.
I quickly ran to him and caught him before he fell to the ground. I placed him on the ground and went back to the side of Gerard.
"Why the hell did you bash Matt? He did nothing" Gerard said angrily.
"Meh I wanted to warn you but he didn't get here quick enough to really make it a warning" Ryan said with a smirk.
"Why do you wanna bash Gerard? He has done nothing" I asked.
"Oh he has, he tried to steal my girlfriend, he failed but she dumped me and just became friends with him then she left to England" he said.
"What? I did not try to steal her from you I was just being friendly and she saw how much of a creep you are and dumped you" Gerard said.
Ryan threw a punch at Gerard it hit him straight in the stomach and made him fall over. I immediately punched Ryan in the head and then kicked him the stomach and then tripped him so he fell flat on his arse. I helped Gerard get up and he was holding his stomach.
People were looking at me and saying things like "OMG did you see that" and "Whoa". I went over to Matt who had just regained consciousness and helped him up.
" Lets go to mine okay,” I said to them. They both nodded. We started walking off and Ryan had gotten up.
"Hey you! come back here I haven’t finished with you" Ryan said.
"I'm finished with you though,” I said still walking off.
Everyone had started walking off.

We arrived at my place and I opened the door and let them in
"Hey Jacquie...." mum said "Umm who are they and why are the hurt".
"Oh these are my friends and we just got into a fight with a kid from school" I said going to the kitchen to go get 2 glasses of water for Matt and Gerard.
"Jacquie did you hurt someone?" mum asked.
"Yes mum the dude was gonna bash them up over and over so I hurt the dude before he hurt them anymore" I said to my mum slightly peeved off cause mum kept asking questions.
I went back into the room and gave the boys a glass of water.
"Thanks" they both said.
Jimmy came into the room.
"So you are violent?" he said with a smile.
"Yes I cant help it that guy was an idiot" I said to him. Gerard got up and looked at the swords and daggers I had looked at when I first came into the house.
"Whoa these are awesome,” he said.
"Thanks" Jimmy said " and you are?".
"I'm Gerard and that is Matt" Gerard said.
"Maybe I should check on my mum since she didn't answer the phone" Matt said.
"Yeah" Gerard said.
"Okay see ya in a bit mum" I said.

We all walked out and I quickly took the glasses out to the kitchen before we left. We walked to Matts place. He opened to the door with his key.
"MUM YOU HERE?" He yelled out. There was no answer. He looked around.
"Hey Matt there’s a note on the fridge" Gerard yelled to him pulling the note off the fridge.
"Can you read it out I need to pee?" he said laughing.
"Sure" Gerard said with a small laugh" Hey Matty, I'm at my cousins I’m gonna be away till Friday next week sorry I couldn't bring ya, See if you can stay with Gerard if not try stay with another friend or call me and I will pick you up love mum xoxo".
There was an eerie silence.
"YES WHOOOOOO!!!" Gerard and Matt said.
I smiled "oooo gay sleepover party" I laughed.
"Oh how did you know?" Matt said in a gay joking voice.
"Awesome we have your house to ourselves" Gerard said.
"That really sounds gay,” I said laughing.
"Hey wanna stay over with me and Gerard?" Matt asked.
"And that just makes it sound like rape" I said laughing.
"It's not rape if you like it" Matt said laughing his head off.
"Well I don't think my mum would let me" I said kinda upset.
"Meh just ask her and say your staying with my sister" Matt said.
"You have a sister?" I asked.
"No, say cousin cause I do have a girl cousin and occasionally she comes over" he replied.
"Well its settled big party with alcohol" Gerard said.
"Umm alcohol?" I said kinda confused.
"Yeah my mum is sorta a alcoholic she has heaps of booze in the cupboard she doesn't even realise if we drink em" Matt said laughing " and no its not gonna be a party, its just us and alcohol".
"Do I have to?" I asked.
"Believe me its nice" Gerard said.
"Fine a bit" I said hoping I didn't sound like a party pooper.

We walk over to my mine and I open the door.
"Hey mum I’m staying over Matts" I said hoping she wouldn't care.
"Umm no " she said.
"I'm hanging out with his cousin umm what’s her name again?" I said.
"Oh Kelly" he said.
"Ok fine but if anything happens come right back honey" mum said.
"Thanks mum" I said. I went into my room and the boys followed. I pull out a bag.
"You guys go get the place ready and I will be right over". I put in a couple of things including my hairbrush, make up and drawing pads and pencils. I say bye to everyone and run over to Matts.

I knock on the door. Gerard opens it.
"Heya" I say.
"Hey come in,” he says. I walk in.
Matt runs in "Party" he yells and laughs.
Gerard and me giggle as he falls over.
"Has he already had a couple yet?” I say joking.
"Nah he had a large coke" he said laughing " I tried to stop him but he drank it all before I could take it off him so he is gonna be hyper".
"Oh well lets join" I say.
Matt gets up " so miss kicks ass try and tackle me" he says.
"Miss kicks ass accepts your challenge,” I say laughing.
I ran at him and try to tackle him but he catches me.
"Arhh Mattrosity has got me,” I say jokingly.
"Tag team" Gerard says trying to take me off Matt.
"Watch out Matt your shoes untied" I say.
He looks down at his feet and realise he isn't even wearing shoes but it was too late I was had gotten off him and had him in a headlock.
"Truce" he said.
"Truce" I say letting go of him.
"Mum left 300 bucks if I needed anything, she is awesome" Matt said, "I think that means pizza".
"Okay" Gerard said.
"So what are we having?" Matt asked.
"I dunno I like meat lovers" Gerard said "What do you like Jacquie?”
"I'll have whatever you guys have" I say.
"Okay meat lovers it is" Matt says picking up a phone and calling for pizza.
"I think Mikey should come over with his friend Frankie cause my mum needs a break" Gerard says.
"Aww your so sweet Gerard" I say to him.
Matt hangs up the phone
"No little kids they will ruin it" he says.
"Aww come on Matt I wanna meet them,” I say with puppy eyes.
"Fine" he says.
"We'll be right back I’ll take Jacquie too okay,” Gerard says.
"Okay then" Matt, says looking through the cupboard of alcohol.

Gerard and me walk out of the house and go next door to Gerard’s. Gerard opens the door and we both walk in. He goes to his mum and talks to her.
"Aww thanks baby" I hear her say.
Gerard walks to me and then shows me the way to his brothers room. He knocks on the door and a boy opens the door.
"Gerard" the boy says.
"Hey Frankie, you and Mikey are coming over Matts okay we gonna look after you so my mum can have some sleep" Gerard said.
" Yay Mikey...Mikey your brothers looking after us" the Frankie said.
"Meh he is stupid” another boy said I was guessing it was Mikey, "kidding we watched a horror movie last night and I ate his popcorn". Mikey laughed.
"Well anyway this boy is Frankie" he said " and this one is Mikey my brother" he hugged Mikey.
"Aww brotherly love" I said. We walked to the front door.
"Thanks so much Gerard" his mum said.
"Bye" we all said.

We went over to Matts again. We opened the door and went inside.
"Okay Matt we are here" Gerard said. Matt runs in
"Yay lil' Mikey" trying to get Mikey angry.
"I'm not little" Mikey said running to Matt.
Matt picked him up and put him on his shoulders " Now your a tall man" he chuckled.
"Yay" Mikey said. Poor Frankie he was just standing there upset cause he was the shortest.
"Hey Frankie wanna be tall?" Gerard said.
"Yeah" Frankie said with a smile.
Gerard picked him up and put him on his shoulders. Mikey and Matt were still taller but Frankie was happy he was a little taller. Matt put Mikey down and Gerard did the same with Frankie.
"Hey Jacquie" Mikey said.
"Hey" I said confused.
"Gerard wrote something about you on a piece of paper in his room" Mikey said with a devious smile. Gerard jumped up from where he was sitting.
"Mikey why were you in my room? " he said angrily.
Mikey continued, "It said...” At this point Gerard was chasing after Mikey.
I laughed and sat on the couch. And Matt came and sat next to me.
"Wanna drink?" he asked me.
"Yeah" I said. He went to the cupboard where the alcohol was kept. I got up and went over to him.
"No alcohol the kids are here" I said to him quietly.
"Don't worry we wont be drunk" he said trying to reassure me. I looked at him.
"What? Come on just a couple,” he said. Then we heard a small bang.
"Ow" we heard Gerard say holding in pain. He walked back to us.
"Is there another way of getting into your bedroom Matt,” he asked Matt.
"Umm why?" Matt asked.
"Mikey decided he wanted to slam a door in my face and lock himself in your room" Gerard replied.
"Oh man,” Matt said running to his room. I laughed.
"So why are you near the cupboard?" Gerard asked me.
"Matt was getting me a drink but he wants to get me an alcoholic drink I’m trying to stop him" I said.
"Oh well I'll pour ya one ill make it very small amount of alcohol more coke okay,” Gerard said.
"Fine then" I said giving in since it was no use.
Gerard smiled. Gerard got a glass out searched the cupboard and pulled out a vodka bottle and put some in the glass then went and got coke and filled the glass to the top.
"Here ya go" he said passing it to me and then made two more with more vodka than what mine had.
"What are you drinking?" Frankie asked.
"Oh just some coke and water" he said quickly.
"Can I have some?" Frankie said.
"Okay" Gerard said.
He got out a coloured glass and filled it with coke and gave it to Frankie. I smiled and took another sip of my drink. Mikey came walking back with Matt behind him.
"Hey Mikester wanna drink?" Gerard asked.
"Yes" Mikey said in a grumpy voice.
Gerard took out another coloured glass and filled it with coke and gave it to Mikey. Gerard handed the other drink he made before to Matt.
"Thanks Gee" Matt said. I sat down and Gerard sat next to me. And so did Frankie. Matt pulled in 2 chairs and he sat on one and Mikey sat on the other. Just then there was a knock at the door. Matt got up and answered it. I was the pizza man he payed the guy and took the pizza from him. He closed the door and put the pizza on the table.
“Dig in people" Matt said. We all grabbed a piece. Matt and Gerard both had another piece and then there was no pizza left.

Matt put the pizza box in the bin and sat back down.
"So what are we gonna do?" Gerard asked.
"Meh I dunno" Matt said.
"Draw Jacquie" Mikey said with an evil grin.
"Yeah that would be cool" Frankie said not realising what Mikey meant.
Gerard glared at Mikey then went and filled his drink again. I still hadn't finished and neither had Matt but he was very close.
"I know scary stories,” Frankie said trying to be cool but to end up sounding very cute.
"Cool" I said.
"Ooo me first" Mikey said "Once there was a ghost that use to eat your soul and then fly into your body and kill people and when you were about to be arrested the ghost would vomit your sprit back up and put it back into your body".
"Pfft" Matt said.
"I would like to see you do better" Mikey said.
Matt got up and grabbed a torch off the table and went and turned off the lights and then turned the torch on and showed his face like in the movies when they say stories.
"Over dramatic" Gerard said with a laugh. Matt took no notice.
"Once there was a group of kids that where left alone in a house, the oldest was 14 and he decided he wanted light a candled and try summon evil beasts and sprits to scare the other kids of course he was only kidding but he had a couple of friends there that were hiding as he was doing this, He sat down with the other kids and began to say mumbo jumbo pretending to call on sprits as he was two of the hiding kids were killed by a weird hideous beast that was also hiding, the bodies of the kids were ripped to shreds and thrown in front of the other kids and then the evil beast attacked the kids killing them all except two of them, the survivors are me and Gerard, Isn't that right Gerard?" Matt said.
“Oh yes it is all true but you forgot about the part were you pissed yourself" he said sarcastically.
We all laughed except Matt who had got up and turned the light on and turned the torch off and placed it on the table.
He had finished his drink and went and poured another for himself.
"Lets watch a movie then" Matt said walking to the TV and turning it on and then putting on a movie.
"And we are watching?" Gerard asked.
" Jaws apparently" Matt said.
"Umm why?" Gerard asked.
"It's in the video player and I can't be bothered to change it" Matt replied.
"OMG this movie scares the hell outta me,” I said sarcastically.
"Well if you get too scared you can come with me and we shall kill all sharks" Gerard said sarcastically.

Matt had about 3 more drinks through the movie and we all fell asleep really early except Matt.
